Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (QMJHL)

As of right now it doesn't even look like the Petes are gonna make the playoffs, they certainly fell waaaay short of expectations this season.

Victoriaville
Host - Regina Pats
OHL - Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
WHL - Portland Winterhawks
QMJHL - Victoriaville Tigers

I'm surprised nobody put Victoriaville in the Q and to se alote of Halifax

As of today Victoriaville is a high contender in the Q but they weren’t the same team when these predictions were made. They made a lot of moves that are hard to predict, the Halifax picks by people had to have been simply their history because they weren’t the favourite in their division, let alone a Mem Cup contender.

Well 2 for 4 isn’t bad... or 1 for 3 if you can’t count the host team ;)

So....now that we actually have the teams going to the Cup, does anyone want to revise their predictions for who is going to win it/how the chips will fall?

I can't really put forward an honest prediction here due to team bias, lack of knowledge about the other teams and what they had to face and the fact it's a championship of champions and one decently ranked team who got ousted by one of those said champions.

Based on CHL rankings also, it would appear to be as follows

Swift Current Broncos
Acadie-Bathurst Titan
Hamilton Bulldogs
Regina Pats

But as we all know, the top ranked Soo Greyhouds, Moose Jaw Warriors and Blainville-Boisbriand Armada all got upset according to these rankings.

I'd say that the advancement of the "2nd best" participants from the three leagues leaves the door open for the hosts to steal the show.

Tournament starts tonight in Regina, so we'll know whose predictions are slanted in the right direction in the next couple of days.
