Preseason schedules are beginning to be released. Here's what we know re: the Jackets' slate:

September 25 - @ Sabres in Clinton, NY (Hockeyville USA game) - TBA

I will be updating this as more games are announced.

Teams we will not be playing in preseason (schedule announced, Blue Jackets not on it):
Nashville
Carolina
Boston
Colorado
Dallas
Minnesota
Winnipeg
Arizona
Edmonton
Vancouver
Florida
Tampa Bay
Calgary

Based on last season's announcement dates, the Jackets should officially announce their preseason schedule on Monday with the regular season schedule being released by the league next Thursday.

Home opener (as well as any other team's home openers the Jackets play in) to be announced Wednesday at 1 PM

Preseason games should be free for full season ticket holders. It would be another perk and would spare the sth of forking out the extra money for boring pretend games!

Meh. They'd likely just bump everyone's prices up then. But it's a nice thought.

Opener is the same night as the Monster opener. Definitely planning on attending a preseason game (likely Pittsburgh) now.

Does anyone think the attendance for the Blackhawks exhibition will be affected by the Triple-A Championship Game being played across the street at the same time?

Weird a$$ schedule this year. (IMO)

-> 0 Wednesday games (not even 1 on the road)
-> 5 Friday home games (we had 11 this past season)
-> 16 back to backs (1 less than this past season)
- - -> including finishing the season on a back to back with NYR / OTT
-> 8/last 11 games are on the road

Good news is Jackets come to Tampa early (October 12) so my enthusiasm should still be high. Good seats tough to come by in TB though. Have to be diligent to score a couple.
