I'm always looking for a way to replace the +/- stat with something more substantive...hard to come up with anything to replace it with that isn't equally as lame though.

Personally, the point of having the 3 year rule is to make the league more active by having trades. If we are maxing out keeper status of players, then I see a scenario where a lot of keepers would expire every year, and since there's no point in trading for them, activity would slow once again in the league which counteracts what the rule was meant for in the first place.

Yet now that year 3 is here it sure is damn hard to trade some of these guys.

I was in a 12 team league with larger rosters and by Jan half the people gave up on their teams because they could not improve their team via trades or waiver wire
