No its stupid. One of the very few reason to even keep Gudbranson was that he would protect players and opponents would be too scared to do any bad stuff out of fear for retribution.

The point is, stuff like this will always happen no matter if you have guys like Gudbranson, Dorsett or Prust on the team or not.

It does.
Targeting is reduced.. emotionally reacting to being embarrassed by a dangle may not be. Them the breaks.

Do you think Mathenson is thinking at all about fighting Gudbranson in Vancouver and potentially fracturing his orbital bone now? Maybe. A little bit.

It's not a perfect system. Not always preemptive. We'll see what the reaction is.

If that is the case.. Send him to AHL and play someone who doesn't get hemmed in his own zone all his shifts. Its not worth it.

Not sure if anyone cares but Beagle might have a broken arm.

Would be out till 2019 if it is broken.

Only in vancouver where you lose two top6 players and whole top pairing defense in under 15 games. Not to mention our blue chip goalie prospect and a bunch of guys in the ahl are injured too. We really need those senzu beans from dragon ball z or we’ll be watching guys from echl by the end of the season.

He was pretty bad on the PK tho.

Agree with the rest.

what are you talking about?

Just guessing, but he asked not to fly after his concussion and they made him fly anyways. That made his symptoms so much worse he couldn't even finish his trip to Utica after landing.

That hit on bear looks bad, but judging from experience the dops won’t do jacks### because he’s no star player. I was just as pissed as him, what a joke of a pro sports league. He got hit in the freaking head and could not even get a whistle.

I'm slowly starting to be convinced that the Canucks would have been a bubble playoff team the past couple years if we had been even remotely healthy. We're fine if the spine of the team stays healthy but the problem is that we have no depth whatsoever. If any of Horvat, Sutter, Tanev, or Edler went down for an extended period of time (which happened frequently the past number of years) we dropped down to the bottom. Having players like Beagle, Gaudette, and EP now help but our defense is still one Tanev/Edler injury away from being AHL level.

If I'm not mistaken Baertschi has had quite the # of concussions for being so young. He came from Calgary having had a few, and has had 2-3 with the Canucks so far I believe.

I'm gonna..
At least they're keeping Pettersson out and not rushing him back. Finally a tinge of competency shown by our organization.

What is the ratio for Canucks injuries to points? Is there an acceptable ratio? Are star players worth more than scrubs, like on Mayan temples so the sun and moon can rise?

I feel like this is worthy of its own thread, including a poll.

At this rate, we should just hire bodies at the minimum rate and throw them out there. We'll clinch a berth by January and get the cup in 16,
