Rumor has it that Stone is skating with the boys at the Ice Den.

Someone needs to visit the Ice Den and check it out. I can't. Too far to drive.

I was gone for a couple of weeks, and don't see Jamie McGinn on that roster - did something happen?

More than likely just an oversight. Rieder is actually on the camp roster but won't be there unless signed.

Some of the AHL signings aren't on the roster but may or may not be attending too.

They probably had to pull the one IT person off this project to scratch out the Roadrunner website.

Got an email with a ticket for one of the preseason games and thought it was a spam. I had to call my rep to verify.

Who is likely to be lining up for the Kings? Hopefully no Aaron Rome types (he smashed Sjostrom's knee in juniors).

I found it odd as well. I'm on the road vacationing, so i didn't open. I emailed my rep asking if we weren't getting cards this season. He replied that this was a split squad game we I hadn't paid for??? Don't recall anything like that in the past.

It's a charity game. It's been ages and ages since we've had more than 2 preseason home games (I remember one year they had a matinee at AWA for schoolkids), and for whatever reason, this year we have 3. Well, STHs paid for 43 games, which is 2 preseason, so when they either couldn't or wouldn't find someplace (Tucson?) to host the 3rd scheduled home preseason game, I guess they decided to have it at GRA.

I wondered about this, too, but they can't very well go back to STHs and ask them to cough up more money for a preseason game (I mean, I'd just laugh), so they threw in freebies as a 'benefit'.

As they should - we always pay for more games (usually just one) than we get.... No?
Hell, if I remember right we payed for the Czech games, only to have to buy the same games in the Czech Republic.

I'm sure there's a nice amount of goonery there.

Tim "Dr Hook" McCracken!

And here's a name from the past. Ross "Mad Dog" Madison!

Ross, as you know, never travels anywhere

without his longtime friend and attorney, Sam "Small Print" Lyman!

Here's one for nostalgia fans! Clarence "Screaming Buffalo" Swamptown!

I'll never forget an interview I did with him years ago,

when Buffalo revealed he liked to call his hockey stick "The Big Tomahawk".

He usually refers to opposing players as "The Little Scalps".

I thought he'd been suspended for ever.

Andre "Poodle" Lussier, defence.

Andre, of course, has been living in semi-seclusion in Northern Quebec

ever since the unfortunate Denny Pratt tragedy.

Not Poodle!

And from Mile Forty, Saskatchewan, where he now runs a doughnut shop,

number 15, former penalty-minute record holder of the Federal League

for the years 1960 to 1968 inclusive, Gilmore Tuttle!

Oh, gee. Hold the phone.

This is an unscheduled surprise.

It's him.

This young man has had a very trying rookie season,

what with the litigation, the notoriety, his subsequent deportation to Canada,

and that country's refusal to accept him.

That's more than most 21-year-olds could handle.

Ogie Ogilthorpe!

Well, when I've been the name on the account (I've split tickets in the past) I don't remember ever having to pay for more than we get...

Also, mine are currently in the upper deck, but these freebies for 9/26 v LAK are sec 110 Row L...which is nice...

Clague. If you mean good prospects, that is.

Cheers. Kings have only had 1 first round pick in the last 4 drafts and he's not on the roster (Adrian Kempe)

By contrast we have 5 out of 6 first round picks in the last 3 years attending (no Keller)
- Jakub Chychrun
- Dylan Strome
- Lawson Crouse
- Nick Merkley
- Brendan Perlini

Plus 4 more names in Christian Dvorak, Christian Fischer, Ryan MacInnis and the Q scoring champ in Conor Garland.

Against this they have 2 defensemen picked in the 2nd round?
