Lindholm is already a borderline NHL player, so he gets my vote, but Henry probably has the most potential of anybody left on the list besides the enigma Clurman.

Yeah, add Lieverman. We already pretty much know what Siemens is and will be. Lieverman is an intriguing little mystery box at the moment. Could be nothing, but there's at least a possibility there that we have something and I don't see that with Siemens.

Henry, then Boikov / Lindholm / Anderson...or maybe Clurman...either way it's Henry here. As. Clurman & Lieverman are the only other prospects left who are more than bottom pairing/line guys, and Clurman is 3-5 years away from even playing for the Eagles...much less the Avs...and Lievermann is on a similar timeline.

Gonna keep going with Henry

I understand he still probably counts in the technical sense but I don't considers Duncan Siemens a prospect any longer. It's been six years since he was drafted. He's either a third pairing fringe NHLer or a career AHL guy at this point.

That's fair, comparing fringe to prospects is apples and oranges to me too.

I don't think Clurman is 5 years away, he isn't THAT raw.

Add Leivermann

Clurman will probably be at Notre Dame for 2 years, but he will be going there.

If all goes well is this not a realistic timeline?

1 year USHL
2-3 years NCAA
1-2 years AHL

That would leave him at 3-4 years til he's in the A and 4-6 years before we see him in the NHL.

3 or 4 to me. He may not need the AHL coming from college... some players need it, some don't. Earliest I'd expect is 3, but I don't think he will need much more than that.

Why is Clurman not playing NCAA this year? Is he not good enough?

He played high school hockey, and not one that was at a super high level. It is quite a jump to go from there, step into college hockey, and play at a high enough level to stick in the lineup (especially with Jackson). My understanding is that the Avs asked him to take the intermediate step and delay a year into college.

I heard Clurman had a really strong camp with Tri-City.

I heard the Avs wanted Clurman to go to USHL last year. If Compher needed some AHL time, Clurman is going to.

Because all prospects are the same. ;)

I'd say Compher didn't really need AHL time. It didn't hurt him at all, but he didn't need it.

Going with Henry.

I bet Joey Anderson would've been able to crack the top 10.

He did, he wasn't ready after camp. The first month or two helped him.

I think he would have been plenty fine stepping right in opening night. He stepped right into the AHL and was an impact player. The Smith and Mitchell situations kept Compher down (moreso Mitchell in the end). The Avs even admitted that.

Henry has impressive stats but I always try not to get too carried away by CHL players on good teams putting up numbers. Colin Smith had 100+ points if I'm not mistaken.

It does seem like he has somewhat of a scoring touch which is nice.
