I seen him a few times. I don't get the fuss

Say Alexander Daigle type of #1

You're talking about Patrick, right..? He had really strong numbers at an early age, though.. and was injured for the most part of this season..

Hey SEER this might be a weird request but do you have any 'highlight' vids of defensive prospect playing defense vs scoring highlights?

Yes... I can't tell you for sure right now which ones, because I think I have made easily over 100 videos this season alone,
but try Urho, Makar, Liljegren and Hague, to start with...

Whenever I come across good defensive clips, I put them in.., but you have to realize that not that many teams highlight packages/etc. contain that many defensive plays.. (i.e.: I work with what I have..) :)

A highlight-montage for.. Kailer Yamamoto ..., who plays Center & Left-Wing position with the 2016-17 Spokane Chiefs.., in the WHL.. (#17)... and is presently rated on some of the top lists.. in the top 29 .., for the 2017 NHL Draft....

Although smaller in height.., I find that Kailer plays pretty big on the ice... His brother Keanu also plays on the same team..
and both of them appear to have no problem handling larger opposition.. and they also play very well together, on the same line..

Might be my favorite player to get in the Draft (#2), at this moment...
but I also want U.P. Luukkonen (goalie - #21) ...so our chances of getting him are probably a lot better....

This kid really impresses me with "both" ends of his game, so I included a lot more defensive play in this montage.., as I had a good full game to work with.. He's not Bobby Orr (yet, anyway).., as one announcer alludes to in this video.., but his style does remind me of Bobby's,
in that he seems to be a really strong two-way D-man.., at a very young age..

If I had to pick a bad point.., it would be that a lot of his goals are very similar.. and come from a lot of the same areas..
(as you will see in the video).. but that is a pretty nice bad point to have..

My God if this kid dropped to us like some are predicting he will fall it would be amazing. Watching this clip all I see is an amazing talent who reminds me of Letang mixed with a little bit of Willie Nylander Swedish flare. Look past his rough year having mono, you can't teach or learn this type of talent, he's so naturally skilled and fluid with the puck

My humble thoughts on that is that there is no way in he'll he drops that far. If he goes out of the top 10 it will be a miracle but if he hits the teens.... I will light my face on fire and put it out with a blunt object!

My thoughts exactly, Sup....

This was one reason why I had him as one of my first D-man prospect videos for this Draft.. (if anyone noticed.., I did Matthews 1st, last season....) and another nudge..., why I have U.P. Luukonnen (G) as my 1st video done for this Draft. Hardly talked about in depth this season, but U.P. is a goalie we should really try to get, imo...

Liljegren is only 18, too... Just imagine if he continues developing for another 4-6 seasons.. Salt will have another d-man-crush.... :)

Right now.., Liljegren is rated between 4-10 on the more popular lists.., but I have seen him as low as the mid-high teens, on some others.. All depends on what the teams ahead of us are looking for.., I guess.. and... if Lou pulls out a trade at the last minute to move up..?

:amazed::help: :laugh:

He already has, on a few lists out there..., but I'd rather see a copy of the 30 head scout lists... :D

Me too. There have been a lot of risers so far and some good players but I just see too many teams ahead of us that really need D
Colorado
Buffalo
Dallas
Off the top of my head.

First you say... (above):
..."I will light my face on fire and put it out with a blunt object!.."...

..and now you you are going to "off" the top of your head, Salt..?
I think you need to call in sick and have another coffee.. :sarcasm:

Everyone sees different prospects in their own way/perspective, though.., so who knows..?

Just think good thoughts.. :)

Very true. BPA is so subjective. It will be fun to watch and wait for our pick this year.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".. I remember being almost be-headed on the old Leafs official board, for putting my faith in Gards.. and saying that it was mostly due to the two concussions.. (and I know some people may disagree.. and I've had this debate before already.., but there were "two" concussions.., not just one.. and.. he had a 3rd more minor head injury again after that.. Targeted..)

Anyway.., my point is.., that different people see different things..., in different players..,
including their ceilings..

I actually forgot he had a concussion(s)
Yes all things are subjective and I really don't want to light my face on fire so I will retract that and replace it with, that would be amazing if we get to draft him.
