Not sure how a Reaves trade would involve this pick, but here we are.

Looks like Oskar Sundqvist goes to STL.

Seems like a helluva deal for St. Louis.

Can't believe Tolvanen is still on the board tbh

I understand why teams might be shying away. He's a smaller forward who interested clubs likely expected to develop more physically in college. Now that option is off the table and they need to make a decision on him when it comes to the pro game in two years rather than four.

However, he's way too talented to fall this far. Nashville got an out-right steal here.

Would be nice to have a Russian player as part of the core to help mitigate the Russian factor with prospects.

St. Louis can feel comfortable taking Kostin here knowing they have Tarasenko to sell him on the team.

Thomas and Kostin is a pretty darn good 1st round with two late picks from St. Louis.

Of course. Two of our conference rivals add the biggest steals of the round- St. Louis also improving on-ice today- and we take a player who is not considerably better while standing pat on the trade front.

There is still work to do, but we have essentially the same group as last year heading into free agency. The dominoes that will fall after Duchene is shipped out will be our very last chance to improve substantially before next season. Chia ready be better to put in the work or
