Sid still doesn't shoot enough to hit 40, IMO. Not without having some ridiculously high shooting percentage.

Plus, as you said above, he'll be receiving passes from Sheary and Hornqvist rather than Bergeron and Marchand. The sheer number of chances they'll create for Sid won't be nearly as high.

Sid scores a ton of goals in close off of rebounds, and Horny shoots the puck every chance he gets. 40 will be tough, but I don't think it's impossible. The powerplay will need to be better though.

I'd like to see Sid return to the shot frequency he showed in 2009-11, when he scored his 51 goals and was on pace for 64 goals before Steckel.

If Sid can get close to 300 shots, he should hit 40+. If he stays around 240 to 250, he probably won't.
