Boston blowing homefield in the final week ended up costly.

The Red Sox and Indians were separated by one game. Boston won the season series 4-2.

That game they blew when Texieira hit the walk-off grand slam ended up coming back to haunt the Sox.

the only defensible bit was that chris young is on the roster to hit against left-handed pitchers.

the problem is that benintendi was probably the best red sox player in that series and he was removed in the seventh inning of a must win game.

It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops.

Bart's kid Paul needs to do a biopic where he plays the role of his late, great, old man.

At least you guys don't have to watch price lose another playoff game in game 5?

Coco Crisp going deep, who knew that would've happened.

I haven't watched the Indians a lot this season- I know they had the longest winning streak of the year (14 straight), they had two pitchers get hurt, Napoli hit a lot of HR's, they traded for Andrew Miller, they had a lot of walkoffs, they dominated the Tigers head-to-head.

They were the only AL playoff team I didn't see a lot of this year- what to make of this team of no-names that keep finding ways to find ways?

Braun's still around. :dunno:

Hell, steroids are still around, and you'd be naive to think otherwise. Only a matter of time before another big name falls.
