Banner number 8 was raised to the rafters of the Ralph tonight. Pretty sweet ceremony before the game. Had all 8 trophies on the ice with a player from each team representing the year they won a natty. Oh and they beat Manitoba 5-1.

BU freshmen had 9 of their 10 goals -- 5 for Harper, 3 for Keller, 1 for Fabbro -- in a 10-2 win full of penalties with four game misconducts. Sounds like the Merrimack game was full of shenanigans last night looking at a few of the NCAA hockey beat timelines too.
CIS games can get out of hand as the NCAA teams are typically better and there is no consequences for the CIS teams for fights or misconducts while NCAA players get suspended for it. If it continues, I won't be shocked to see schools stop playing them.

Master Luke Kunin assisted on Wisconsin's first goal of the year. 1-1 in the 1st period.
Really hope he has a big year. Probably our prospect I'm most excited about at the moment. Since I take it you watch most of the games (when they're actually on TV), keep us updated on how he looks.
Same here. Him and Ek are my favorites. Badgers are gonna need Kunin to step up this game, down 3-1 in the 2nd.

Badgers lose 3-2. Kunin 1 assist, 2 or 3 posts, 5 shots.
Badgers out shot NMU 29-19, 15-4 in the 3rd period. Had a goal waived off in the third period that would have made it 3-3.

Oh my god they already have highlights! Kunin is #9 and he also has some comments near the end of the video. Fitting that his assist was off of him taking a shot

UND all over Canisius last night 6-0. 6 different scorers which is nice to see. Boeser with a 4 point game.
Tony Granato gets his first win as head coach, 6-5, over Northern Michigan.

Gophers win 6-3 tonight against Fairbanks. Nice to see them start the season off with a couple wins.
