Some decent names left on here at 17. If goalies were included, I would have had Stolarz, Lyon, Hart and Sandstrom on here by now. That would make the guys left on the list outside of the top 20. This has got to be in the top 3 best prospect pools in the league.

Third best behind Winnipeg and Arizona in my opinion.

David Kase above Bardreau, Lyubimov or Martel, wut?

Kase has a higher ceiling, lower floor than Bardreau and Lyubimov so its a matter of how you evaluate prospects. Martel is comparable though.

At this point I may be able to jump back in, which I haven't for the last three because too many comparables.

I'd put it between Laczynski and Kase. I'll give the slight edge to Laczynski due to size.

What's wrong with Kase? He's an interesting player. Skilled, smart, and tenacious. He just needs to develop physically. He's a lot younger than the guys you listed, but certainly has way more upside than Bardreau/Lyubimov.

Went with Kase because of age. His youth is a positive factor here, as he has more time to develop (body, skills), compared to others.

Like his ceiling, admit his floor is also lower.

(i.e. Don't think he'll make it, but like his chances more than others.)

At this point I don't think anyone is really likely to play more than 100 games in the NHL.

Bardreau is definitely among the more likely to do that because he's pretty close now, but there's still a really good chance he's just an AHL lifer.

I went with Kase because he has upside. If you asked yourself, which of these guys would you trade a 5th-round pick for, it's probably Kase.
