Meier is underrated here. He scored 30 goals in his second full season.
I don't think Meier is beign underrated at all. Barzal, Chabot, and most likely Werenski will all go before him, but I would take Meier after those guys, and I love Meier lol I have his jersey.

Underrated???
have you seen the 5 names in front of him?

more like overrated.
The only forwards drafted before him are Zacha and Strome and they can’t hold a candle to his production.

The only guys you could argue to pick before are Provorov, Werenski and Chabot because they are D that are very good and could be top pairing.

Also Barzal is great but doesn’t have the scoring or physical ability that Meier has.

So that's it? Those 3 are the only guys you could argue?

You said as an argument "He scored 30 goals in his 2nd NHL season".
so did Kyle Connor
and that was meier's 3rd pro season. compared to Kyle connors 2nd, and he's done it twice now.
and if you bring up production, and not mention Boeser and his 59 goals in 140 games compared to Meier who has 5 less in 53 more games.

so yeah those arent the only players you could argue
