I have tried not to let myself think/hope for that. no need to get disappointed...lol.

I am hoping for the 1 forward, 1 dman split in our 1st round....then a forward with our 2nd.

Man I hope we hit a homerun with this draft...it could set us up nicely for the future.

It's going to be the Leafs. I just know it's going to be the Leafs.

And it'll infuriate me... until they ruin him... then it'll amuse me.

Does any of the WHL followers think Austin Wagner is a strong candidate for late
1st round consideration in 2015?

I haven't seen him play but there is a definite buzz about Austin Wagner being a real riser. Central Scouting had him #35 amongst NA skaters. He's supposed to be a big, fast, physical LW with a good shot. John Paddock is his coach, so he's probably someone that we should keep on our radar. Plus he's a toolsy riser, which is something the Flyers obviously covet.

Devils will win the lottery. Calling it now.

I think it will be Arizona if anyone else besides Buffalo.

They have been the most controversial team financially and McDavid going there would be a game-changer.

****. So i'm not the only one seeing McDavid shine in a red and black jersey? then Kovalchuk will come back and the Devils win the cup ... Not to mention Eichel looking okay in a Sabres jersey.

EDIT: behind the Devils I see the Canes getting **** lucky.

A lot of people don’t think the ping pong balls ping pong randomly.

I'm aware that people need some other type of justification as to why their favorite team didn't win the lottery & somebody else did every year.

The fact is though that the NHL hires an outside law firm to do the lottery process as well as allow every team to have a representative to be present at it.

Ping pong balls don't take that in consideration.

Oh I should have mentioned that I am firmly convinced that some, if not all, lotteries are rigged.

There is too much money on the table for the suits running the league to not tailor the result so that it best suits their needs.

Except those two times they magically did and Pittsburgh and Chicago went from being unable to hand out tickets for free to becoming giant cash cows for the league.

...

Except those times.

The "suits" take their orders mostly from the owner's. They're not going to allow the league to purposefully rig something. If the owners were concerned about foul play as much as some fans do certainly one of them would have raised a stink about it by now?

I guess since you're a Buffalo fan you're already getting your excuses ready for if you don't win the lottery?

Pittsburgh & Chicago both had good chances of winning. It's not like they jumped from the least amount of odds to win it.

You and me both. I'll still be disappointed though.

I think I'd actually like to see Arizona win it, if it isn't us.
