In the pre-season prediction thread (which I can't find right now for some reason) I predicted a Leafs collapse out of the playoffs and lottery win for McDavid. I'm getting close to being spot on, let's pray.

With the season he had now he would compete with Ekblad, be better than Yakupov and worse than Mackinnon

So I would say 2, 1, 3/4 respectively

Id put him above Yakupov and similar Mackinnon and Ekblad (as they were thought of at the time of the draft)

The best outcome for this draft would be.

1) Connor McDavid - Good Canadian Kid gets to play for his hometown team in Toronto.

2) Buffalo - Jack Eichel young American Phenom restores Buffalo to prominence.

3) Arizona - Stud American Dman Noah Hanifin is the Ark that keeps the Coyotes organization afloat in the desert sea.

4) Edmonton - Canada's own Dylan Strome a key building block in Oil country.

How could Bettman not like this outcome as everyone is happy and home?.
