Went with Christopher Gibson.

He's higher on the depth chart than Bibeau and was starting all of the playoff games this past off-season.

Gotta go with Andrew Neilsen. Only two months ago Hunter chose him over Dzierkals, and numerous times over Lindgren, Timashov and Korostelev. I don't know the player yet, but I have to believe Mark Hunter thinks highly of him drafting him 65th.

Neilsen then Vesey, guy had a very solid freshman year, if he tracks at all like his brother could see some big time boom.

Goalies should have their own poll, such wildcards.

Rupert - both do nothing but score points punish and antagonize the opposition and finish as plus players in any stat you wanna pony up.

Froese. Only prospect left i have top 20s (20th). Nielsen and Gibson not far behind.

Seriously, Froese does not classify as a prospect. Once a guy turns 24 coming from the CHL, he no longer classifies as a prospect. So he should not even be on this list.

Man so many good people left... All of whom should be ahead of Hyman and Korostelev.

I know your thoughts on Froese as a prospect.

Based on your Criteria, Casey Bailey shouldn't classify as a prospect either. Both 1991s.

He's saying Froese is no longer a prospect because he's been playing pro for 4 years now. Bailey just turned pro in April, so it's really not the same.

Nielson and Rupert should be 29 and 30.

Well, you can argue that Nielson should be higher.

And anyone who watches Rupert with any regularity will tell you he's an NHL'er. He can play any role you put him in.

Engvall, think he may be underated a bit but that's fine,
followed by neilsen, rupert or herzog

Switched my vote from Sparks to Gibson to for strategic reasons. They're equal, in my mind, but figured I'd make one last desperate try to get another of our deserving goalies in here.

Thanks, Schenn, for running this poll. It made for some good fun amidst the slow summer months. :handclap:

Voted for Pierre Engvall, that size and speed is a tantalizing mix. He might be the next Chad Kilger, but with luck he might be another Mikael Renberg.

I've considered the previous scouting regime unremarkable but they are still mostly responsible for this list. Ryan Rupert's rookie AHL season was pretty good for a player who started in the ECHL. Andrew Nielsen could be a fast riser as his draft year was also his rookie WHL season. Is it reverse discrimination that he's being undervalued because he's big and fights occasionally? He seems to skate and handle the puck fairly well.

It's interesting, I was actually going to point out the opposite, that it's impressive that 14 players thus far (assuming Nielsen does take this one) were all new additions post-2014 draft.

Some of these players go as far back as the 2011 draft, and yet with prospects spanning 4 years, half of the list is made up of guys we brought in over the past few months.

Could be Shiny New Toy Syndrome, but I think the list speaks a lot more to where these new guys are taking us.
