Kind of shocking Gibson is still here. It's 26 for Petes sake.

It is ... but ... Gibson is like Bernier. Consistent, dependable, but hasn't shown he can steal (and i mean totally ROB) games. At least you know what you're gonna get mostly. Bibeau on the other hand is like Reimer. Has shown the ability to stand on his head and steal games, but other times can't stop a beach ball. I'm only comparing on that level, but the point being, Bibeau DOES have a higher ceiling. Much higher. Just also a much lower floor. Gibson ought to have gone a bit earlier. He certainly has no business outside the top 30. Bailey and Nilsson both could be NHL players though and we're at #26, so it's hard to argue with those two either.

Time for some goalies, my friends. I recall Dubas saying not long ago that all three of our goalies are solid prospects, yet we have Bibeau ranked so much higher than the others (largely, I suspect, because he had that amazing playoff run a couple of seasons back).

I'm going with Sparks first (a gut feeling) then Gibson.

How is Casey bailey getting votes? Guy can't skate

Some people get a little too worked up with skating. It's not how pretty you look trying to get from point A to point B, but that you actually do get to point B. Some of the best goal scorers this league has had are not the best looking skaters.

Bailey, like many big guys with a low centre of gravity, has to work on his initial acceleration. He is a powerful skater, but has to get to his top speed quicker.

I think the best part of this is that accurate or not - we're approaching #30 and we've still got guys on here that have a shot at being NHL players in some capacity - that's a pretty deep pool! :handclap:
