Voted Bailey. The kid is NHL ready, except for his skating. No other prospect on the list can say that. He has already had a cup of coffee last season.

A long-shot 1st liner should rank higher than a sure-thing depth grinder. But NHL readiness counts for something. Casey Bailey should go next.

Who cares what he did before , last season he was great. This is called progression.

Honestly, his last season screams "Outlier" much louder than it says "Progression" imo. If each year his pts had increased steadily, then I would agree with you because that is pretty much the ideal progression (that you can statistically measure). As of right now, I think he'll be in tough fighting for a spot in the Marlies top 6.

Sammy Carrick, might not have the highest offensive potential but hes a solid nhl player who can hit, fight, kill penalties and chip in offensively

Purely statsheet food for thought

Nolan Vesey
Freshman
10G 23P in 36 games

Zach Hyman
Freshman
2G 9P in 41 Games
Sophomore
4G 9P in 38 Games
Freshman + Sophomore + Junior
13G 35P in 114 Games

Maybe Hyman truely is a late bloomer. Maybe Vesey will flatline and never progress to where Hyman finished as a senior. But he is well ahead of where Hyman was at the same age/ point in development, as were/are Toninato and Cameranesi
