Voted carrick, he deserves to be in the middle of the pack, based on I think he will be in the nhl, Timashov next based on potential.

Just wanted to see... so this is rankings with where they are drafted. Round then position.

Rankings:
1. Mitch Marner -- 81.22% 2015, 1st (4th)
2. William Nylander -- 97.50% 2014, 1st (8th)
3. Kasperi Kapanen -- 51.18% 2014, 1st (22nd)
4. Connor Brown -- 80.00% 2012, 6th (156th)
5. Stuart Percy -- 28.67% 2011, 1st (25th)
6. Frederick Gauthier -- 29.64% 2013, 1st (21st)
7. Andreas Johnson -- 32.43% 2013, 7th (202nd)
8. Jeremy Bracco -- 37.30 % 2015, 2nd (61st)
9. Travis Dermott -- 37.69% 2015, 2nd (34th)
10. Brendan Leipsic -- 40.74% 2012, 3rd (89th)
11. Scott Harrington -- 65.07% 2011, 2nd (54th)
12. Victor Loov -- 46.67% 2012, 7th (209th)
13. Josh Leivo -- 36.84% 2011, 3rd (86th)
14. Rinat Valiev -- 40.94% 2014, 3rd (68th)
15. Antoine Bibeau -- 31.49% 2013, 6th (172nd)
16. Matt Finn -- 45.73% 2012, 2nd (35th)
17. Petter Granberg -- 19.59% 2010, 4th (116th)
18. Nikita Soshnikov --19.05% UFA
19. Carter Verhaeghe -- 21.57% 2013, 3rd (82nd)
20. Martins Dzierkals -- 25.18% 2015, 3rd (68th)

All 2nd or better picks have been taken since 2010 unless they are traded or graduated. Only top 3 round pick missing so far:
Andrew Nielsen (2015, 65th)

4th Rounders:
Jesper Lindgren (2015, 95th)
Tom Nilsson (2011, 100th)
JJ Piccinich (2011, 103rd)

SO: 2014,2015 no one is drastically different then the order they were picked. We flipped Bracco and Dermott and there is a decent gap between when they were taken. We also flipped Dzierkals and Nielson but they were taken REAL close together.

Risers from draft spot: Brown, Johnsson, Loov, Bibeau.
Fallers from draft spot: No one really. Since 2011 we seem to have at least a bit of faith in each player, based on where they were picked. Only available ones are 4th round picks or later, except Nielsen. Granberg is the only 2010 listed, with Carrick the only other one to be ranked soon. And NO graduates from our 2010 class. So we basicly are hoping for a chance at a bottom pair D man and a 4th line center out of that draft. Ones that are interesting are Bailey and Donaghey as both were undrafted UFAs. Gibson was a UFA taken in the second round (49th, 2011) so he might be a faller. He wasn't signed by the team that drafted him though so that makes sense.

Come on, it's got to be Lindgren. He'll rival Dermott to be our best defenseman taken in the 2015 draft.

Based on potential, I voted Lindgren. Haven't seen much I don't like about him.

His max potential I'd say is almost an Erik Karlsson, whether he makes it or not is said to be determined.

Nielsen follows for me.

The only real noticeable "fallers" would be Ross and Biggs and we got rid of them :)

How many games have any of the 2015 draftees played since the day of the draft?

None. Perceived value does change, of course, as games are played and development or lack of development takes place, but none of that has yet happened. So, why should anything be changed since the draft? More specifically, why should the order of ranking by Leafs scouts, namely Nielson 30 picks before Lindgren, be abandoned here?

I don't pretend to be an expert on the two. To the best of my knowledge, I have never seen Nielson play at all. I have seen one game with Lindgren, Canada-Sweden in the U18's, in which Lindgren appeared to be the 7th defenseman. I think that any argument I might make that Lindgren should be ranked ahead of Nielson would be stupid and presumptuous. By contrast, the scouts who have seen both of them play many times rank Nielson higher. Some of you are very definite in your preference for Lindgren. Why do you know better than the scouts?

I have seen Carrick a number of times and he had my vote here.

Ditto.

Carrick, then Bailey, then Timashov.

Tom Nilsson.

Criminally underrated.

Realistically, he has zero offensive upside. He tops out as a useful penalty killing bottom pairing defenseman. Nothing wrong with that, but not a high ceiling IMO.

Christopher Gibson was drafted in the 2nd rd, 49th overall in 2011. Although he was drafted by the Kings, why leave him out when you have included Leipsic, Kapanen and Harrington?

I think people are having issues with NHL potential vs. NHL player. Carrick imo will be an NHL player in some capacity but this will be limited to him becoming a 3/4 line guy. He's a lot closer to being a 4th line player going forward imo

Timashov gets my pick for highest potential out of the remaining picks. He has Alex Tanguay play-making abilities. Lindgren is a solid #2 as he's a great combination of smarts, speed and skill.

There's been about 6 players now "criminally underrated". Can't all be.

Just shows the kind of depth we have...

From what I know of Nilsson, he's supposed to be just as a good (if not better than Granberg) PLUS a more physical edge to his game.... I'm definitely rooting for this kid... can still become a 2nd pairing defense IMO.

Carrick. I like his package and NHL chances slightly better than Timashov's much higher potential. For now.

And it's Dmytro, not Dymtro.
