He is signed to a two-way contract but has a one-way contract extension.

I voted for him but should he be here? He's played 24 regular season games and 3 playoff games. Isn't he over the 25 game limit? Either way, the other rule is playing 6 games or more in back to back seasons(7 and 17 for him). He's not a rookie, should we still be a prospect? Unsure.

Again..... I went by the HF boards Prospect list rankings and added the new guys from the draft.

If Montreal, who is now hosting, wants to remove Pateryn.. he can.

Reway, add Hawkey.

A player will be considered a prospect until he meets the following criteria:

If a prospect is a skater (forward, defenseman) and has played in 65 NHL games or more before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday; or, if a goaltender has played in 45 NHL games before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday, that player will be considered graduated to the NHL. Conversely, if a player completes the season of his 24th birthday without passing those milestones, then that player will no longer be considered a prospect by Hockey’s Future, regardless of the player’s status with his NHL club.

 Pateryn is 25 now.:)

Wow.....majority of people here think that our #6-7 defenseman is our #8 best prospect??
He's 25yrs old and just making the NHL and will never be better than a bottom pairing D or spare
Fucale, Reway, Lekhonen, Vejdemo, Bozon....are all prospects who's upside are much higher than Pateryn's, actually all those guys have or will represent their countries in the U20 Worlds (except Bozon)
It's as though some people are voting most NHL ready instead of most talented. I like the guy, but #8 is a bit high

Morning Fellas,

Just woke up in a fantastic mood and figured I'd post a future lineup if no changes are made. When it's drawn out things really aren't as bleek as we make it out to be, in fact I would say it's a great mix and a future contender, I understand that some prospects bust, just take a look and let me know what you think.

Cheers

Pacioretty - Galchenyuk - Gallagher

Hudon - McCarron - Scherbak

Andrighetto/Reway - Vejdemo - Kassian

De La Rose - Gregoire - Smith Pelly

Beaulieu - Subban

Juulsen - Petry

Tinordi - Lernout

I also share your concerns, and don't personally subscribe to any rating system that would possibly result in evaluating Pateryn as a top 10 prospect in our system... or a "prospect", even.

Maybe because we believe that most of them don't stand a chance to play in the NHL one day? Pateryn will be an NHL'er.

Bozon = he might play in the ECHL this year.

Reway= not even sure he will ever come in NA again. PP specialist.

Lehkonen= Will he ever weight 160 pds??? I like him but NHL is still very far for him...

Vejdemo= Anyone know that guy outside of Timmins 2 weeks ago? NHL is still a dream for him

Fucale= Looking him play right now, he might one day become a good backup but slim chance for him to become a starter.

Pateryn. Add Koberstein.

I like Dietz's upside. Great skater and good with the puck. Pretty good size.

add Holloway (if Pateryn is a prospect, so is Bud).
