Really expect Bjorkstrand to dominate this group. Should be interesting.

I would really like to see Bjorkstrand make an impact this year in Dev camp, and training camp in September. Milano doing the same would be a bonus. I will really be disappointed if Bjorkstrand doesn't become a key player for us sometime in the near future.

Question: I know Forsberg got hurt at the end of last year and missed alot of time. Is he still hurt? Is that why he's not participating?

I'm unsure of his physical health but I'm pretty certain the CBJ does not typically bring established professional players to development camp. You'll note that Rychel, Anderson, Madaisky and others from Springfield/Lake Erie are not coming as well. Mostly intended for those turning professional or not yet under contract but "in the system" or European players no playing in NA.

We're not even a half hour into dev camp and Bittner is impressive as hell... seriously. And he looks a lot taller than what he is. Has to fill out that from though. Very lanky. And Carlsson has MONSTER size too. Not bad hands for a D-man either...

Nutivaara also impressing the heck outta me. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see him make the jump to NA sooner rather than later.

I liked what Jarmo said, but I can think of a few posters who probably didn't if they watched that interview.

i can live with it...both ways...that there are targets and that the young guys can grow from within...

How is Bjork doing ?

Obviously you can't take much out of their first on ice of the camp but he was underwhelming to say the least, at least to me. Had a hard time understanding the skating drills.. don't think he even put the puck in the net on any of the goalies the whole time.

Dansk was waaaaaay off in the first on ice session. Got scored on way too many times from point blank range. You could tell he wasn't happy with himself at all. Merzlikins was impressive. Made some outstanding glove saves.

The next on ice session for the second group is about to start!

Me, personally, I don't think you can take much away from these types of things. Different guys have different motivations. I look at it like spring training. Some guys look horrible and some guys look great. Then, once the season starts, it is the exact opposite.

He talked about how he wants to build the team through drafting and development. He doesn't think it is best to build through FA. If there is a guy that can help them, at the right price, then great, but he won't force anything (same with trades).

Our forwards are highly thought of by other teams in the league.

He tried to move up to get another pick in the top 10. It was right after they asked him about talking to Doug Wilson and they had the 9th pick.
