Prospect Info: 2015 Annual Prospect Poll #6

Last Poll: Manson wins, following his ranking buddy Montour.

Each poll will be open for 48 hours. If it's not close after 24 hours, I'll call it. If it is, it'll go the full 48. In the event of a tie after 48 hours, a 24-hour runoff will be held. The winner will get the open spot; the loser will go back into the pool, not get the next-lowest rank. The poll will go up to #25. Players are in the poll on the basis of HF's prospect criteria. Essentially, skaters with less than 65 games before the season of their 24th birthday, or goalies with less than 45 games before the season of their 24th birthday, are considered prospects. There are some nuances with respect to older-signed players, which I believe only applies to Matt Bailey this year.

Vote on players using whatever criteria you like. This isn't the readiness poll or the talent poll or the most-likely-to-be-best poll, it's just a survey of who we as Duck fans like.

Went Noesen last time, going with him again. He's bounced back incredibly from two major injuries, and despite the lost developmental time has looked pretty good. I think he'll be knocking on the door quite soon.

Kerdiles.

Noesen is good but everyone keeps talking about his injuiries... They were bad luck but maybe he is just injury prone and you have to hold that against him.

Either way even if he had no injuries I still think Kerdiles is better.

The left knee is maybe a little concerning with regards to being injury prone, but the second one was a complete freak accident. Not even Cogs could have avoided that one.

Surprised people are so high on Kerdiles. I'm having a real hard time seeing his ceiling as high as Larsson/Pettersson, nor do I think his odds are remarkably better.

Voted for Friberg, can see him playing his way onto the roster this season. I do believe we have some guys with perhaps a higher ceiling (Pettersson, Larsson, Nattinen, Kerdiles) but none of them are nearly as close as Friberg and Noeson IMO.

Really like Kerdiles, and read mostly good things about him, but wasn't last year a bit of a disappointment? Then again, not sure you blame him, given Norfolk's roster last year. Perhaps someone with more info could chime in.

Voted for Nättinen. Usually pretty reserved about Finnish players, but he seems like a good kid/player.

If Pettersson was heavier, I'd of voted him #1 :sarcasm:

To me, these spots are a toss up between a number of prospects. I voted Kerdiles previously so I'm sticking to it.

Yeah, was going to say the same thing. If he was a speedster he'd be a poor man's Paul Kariya. But he's just average. His stick skills are incredible though.

Hmm, never pegged him as an average skater, that along with his small stature does put him a few more rungs down the prospect ladder for me. I might be overvaluing pure skill in my votes, gonna have to re-calibrate here.

He's very agile, and his top speed is normal or better, it's not like he's Maroon out there or anything. It's just that if he makes the jump, it won't be because he can outrun danger, it'll be because he's too shifty. He's also fairly brave, so his small size isn't an issue that way.

Have to pick Larsson. He`s big, smart and have played in SHL already despite being only 18 yo.
