Prospect Info: 2015 Annual Prospect Poll #4

Last Poll: Ritchie wins, good game. Who's next? The new first rounder? Some older first rounder? Someone who can't cut any records because he's always Montour?

Each poll will be open for 48 hours. If it's not close after 24 hours, I'll call it. If it is, it'll go the full 48. In the event of a tie after 48 hours, a 24-hour runoff will be held. The winner will get the open spot; the loser will go back into the pool, not get the next-lowest rank. The poll will go up to #25. Players are in the poll on the basis of HF's prospect criteria. Essentially, skaters with less than 65 games before the season of their 24th birthday, or goalies with less than 45 games before the season of their 24th birthday, are considered prospects. There are some nuances with respect to older-signed players, which I believe only applies to Matt Bailey this year.

Vote on players using whatever criteria you like. This isn't the readiness poll or the talent poll or the most-likely-to-be-best poll, it's just a survey of who we as Duck fans like.

I'm going montour. I love his confidence, his arrogance. He just stands out as a guy who is going to excell at every level.

Has going to have some issues defensively because of his size, but he's going to put up points.

Montour for me.. I love him but couldn't put him ahead of top 3... so #4 it is for me easily

Went with Manson due to being more proven. He could take a regular shift next season on another team.

Hard one but went with Manson. Great defensive guy who is not a complete liability with the puck. Has shown ability to bring it in NHL but couldn't yet handle it for longer term. Potentially a second pairing type of guy.

I've really begun to think highly of Noesen, but has to be Montour for me. His rise has been something else. Defense is probably an issue, but his offense appears to be out of this world.

Could be a similar situation to Tanner Pearson where his draft stock was too largely affected by his age. Seemed like a reach at the time, but looking like a huge steal now.

Montour for me, he seems to have alot of upside, he seems like a late bloomer when you consider he played in 3 leagues last year and did well in all of them. It is not unprecedented for a prospect to have a development curve like this and be a successful player

Can't choose between Larsson, Manson, Montour and Nättinen.

EDIT: Voted Manson.

Went with Montour. As Keerole says, he really seems like a late bloomer and Murray wasn't kidding when he said it would be a home run pick. So pumped for a Gulls PP with him and Theodore. Tough call between him and Larsson for me, but I really like Montour.

I've haven't seen enough of Kerdiles and Noesen to give them this spot, and I believe Manson will be a better player than Montour

Montour seems to be getting a lot of love now. He did well in the AHL, but then I also think of Kerdiles and Karlsson on their part-seasons.

I think I'll go with Manson for now. This is off of what I've seen at the NHL level and how the team keeps talking about him.

Montour for me as well. In terms of pure skill I think he slightly edges out a few others that are contenders for the 4th spot. That's my criteria anyhow.

I thought Roy might get a few votes, he seems like the Montour of our forward group.

Went with Kerdiles.

Have Kerdiles in a group with Mantour, Nattinen, Manson and Larsson. Could of pretty much gone with any of them for spot 4.

I have to go with Manson. Simply because he is more proven than others. ,
His ceiling is not as high as for some other guys here but in my opinion he will be a very good NHL player anyway

I've seen Montour about 5 times now and he just reads the play so well. I've gotta go with him. He's a penalty taking machine though. Not the good kind either. He trips and slashes players routinely when defending puck carriers. Something he's gotta work on.

It has to be Manson. He's the most proven of our D-prospects and IMO has the most potential.

This one's close so it'll go the full 48.

I'm a little surprised to see Manson get so much love. I'm a fan but I thought his fade towards the end of his NHL stint might sour some people.

What upside does Larsson have that you guys have seen other than his draft video (which was not very impressive) honest question because if you have some other videos I want to see them I have been looking everywhere.

The only video I found was a 20 minute clip following him around in a game and commentating that a poster on here posted. I was not very impressed although I know it was only one game. Anyone got more footage?

It did affect me. Kerdiles struggling on his transition from college to A disappointed me. As for Montour, he's all offense and needs to develop defensively. He's basically where Theo was a few years ago. So it's either Larsson or Noesen for me.

I'm probably higher on Manson than most people. I've seen comments where people say "he'll end up a good bottom pairing guy". IMO, he could already be a bottom pairing guy, he will end up as a top 4 D-man for sure. Good skating, good decisions with the puck (better than Lovejoy from the second he stepped on the ice for the Ducks), size and toughness.
