I'll take Gauthier F Canada to finish my team off.

I don't believe in luck but I hope you all have an awesome tournament!

for the record--I was tempted to take the Belarus goalie instead

Wow, when you could have went with the Finnish or Swedish backups since no one is a definite starter quite yet, same with the States, so I truly respect your Swiss goaltender selection. Nice gamble at the end of the day.

My goaltender Vinecek not a definite either, hard to pick goaltending this year which is nice also. Parity.

Swiss can take Denmark in their pool is all I know for now, tough pool otherwise.

I'm surprised more Swiss players didn't go at all, Noah Rod (2nd rounder) and Denis Malgin (4th rounder) were PPG or better as 18 year olds last year.

We'll do another team for the leftovers. Other players from my short list:

- Aleksi Saarela
- Filip Chlapik
- David Pastrnak :sarcasm:

Defense is a crapshoot. Probably throw down guys like Carlo, Hickey, etc.

EDIT: Also, huge props to all of us. This must be the quickest we've finished a draft.

Denis Malgin was my next best forward available after Hintz, so he's definitely on the Leftovers team this year in my eyes.

Maybe the hardest year ever to pick, as Cerebral said, lots of variables.

I tried to be as conservative as I could to reclaim whats mine. I ended up with no Canadians for my first time, although my first pick was a decision of Rantanen vs Strome.

Well the Pastrnak thing was a screw up. I don't know why I let that itch get the better of me. I would have taken Laine had I had a moment of clarity. But I think I salvaged my forwards pretty well and my defense will just have to make the best of their opportunities.

Taking a quick glance at the teams, I like Paralyzer's. I think he looks strong in all facets.

last year I slowed things down--so I broke down and coughed up a list with less research then usual--let see how that works

I'm just glad it ended before a decision on Pastrnak was made. That would have been one hell of a late round pick if in the dying moments of the draft the Bruins made him available.

I was going to take him (again) with my last pick and ride it out till Boxing Day.
