Agreed. Didn't like the pick then. Don't like it still.

Hopefully this is the year Laughton becomes a regular 3rd line Center for us and alleviates some defensive responsibilities for Couturier. I like certain things about Laughtons game, I just don't know that he can produce on the score sheet.

I am trouble voting Laughton, I tend to not vote for him out of default.i consider him a flyer not a prospect.

Marti. Half-joking, half-serious. I'm not high on Laughton or Konecny, and as far as the rest go I really don't think they're better prospects and it could go either way. Marti has held his own in the NLA, and to me that says more than junior league exploits.

Why? He'll probably be a 3rd line center next year, at 21. When he's 24-25, I could see him being a solid top 6 player. I get that we don't have room right now at center because we have Giroux and Couturier, but that doesn't mean that the guy won't be a top 6 level player, wherever it is.

laughton is one of our best skaters in the organization and has the potential to be a complete 2 way forward. His upside is much higher than any prospect left on the list. Good sized two way forwards that skate are a rare commodity.
