Went with Tomek because his ceiling (starter) is higher than Fazleev (bottom six forward), but he's obviously a long way from hitting that. I think they are the next two, in some order.

I've been going from Tomek to Fazleyev to Kase and back again for the last 4-5 polls, tough call I must say...

Hopefully the bar will be set a little higher than Ben Holmstrom.

Lot of people had high hopes for Ben. Before he had those knee injuries it was thought he would be a very solid fourth line centre who was great on draws and PK specialists. People also loved his leadership qualities.

I think that is prob along the same lines of Fazleev. He may have more of a scoring but then again Holmstrom put up pretty good numbers in the A

I don't recall that at all & if that was the case then it's just another example of having a poor prospect system which in turn made players be perceived better than they actually are/were. He probably would have 0 NHL games played to this point opposed to 7 if he wasn't playing in the Flyers organization back then.

Having a terrible farm system specifically at the AHL level did wonders for guys like Akeson, McGinn, Laurdisen, Wellwood, Manning, etc. in regards to their perceived worth at certain points during their tenures here.

When Homlstrom signed, the farm was bleak to say the least. People were hoping on anything with a pulse.

Again I was a big fan of wellwood as a bottom 9 guy prior to injury. That last stretch and playoff run should what great speed and solid forechecking can bring to a team. I hope Liere can bring that type of game next few years

He wasn't anything special prior to his injury. He was fast & that was about it. He could have possibly carved out a 4th line role down the line but even that wasn't a sure thing.
