The second quarterfinal contest taking place on Thursday at the 2014 World Junior Championship features Finland facing off against the Czech Republic. Finland was probably the more accomplished of the two teams during the preliminary round, but not by so wide a margin that a Czech victory is unthinkable.
Both offensively and defensively, Finland was the better squad in the first four games of this WJC. But the Czech Republic pulled off a fairly large upset in their win over Canada, and seem capable of doing so a second time if Finland doesn't match the work ethic of their opponents.… read more
