Lucky stick save against Girgensons

Kind of glad its Latvia instead of the Swiss aside from the Girgensons and Nolan connection. I feel like Canada vs Swizterland would've given them essentially a practice in preperation for USAs speed. This is of course assuming Canada and USA win.

WHAT???

If this schedule is correct, the NHL and Bettman should be livid. The U.S. flagship hockey channel is NBCSN. Not to carry the U.S. game on that network would be a travesty. Why would NBC pay all that money to broadcast hockey and then ignore one of the season's prime match-ups?

At least with Omark gone the Sabres now have space to sign Darzins and Karsums from team Latvia. They should be able to quadruple Leino and Linus' goal production within a week.

(LOL. Just realized that's still zero. Perhaps I should rephrase that)

I hope Canada doesn't come out flat and expect Latvia to roll over. Teds Nolans has that team playing their hearts out. I'm happy we don't have to play the Swiss since they always play us tough and Hiller can be difficult to score against.
