Adding up projected cap figures is no more fun than than estimating how much money I'll be spending for the rest of 2014... and no more accurate. Gionta will probably not be re-signed and Markov may be traded at the deadline. A few low-priced young players may be cut or traded for picks. I don't foresee any extravagant signings since Subban is due for a huge raise.

Markov will be resigned for 2 years for ( +-)6 mil.
Subban long term for (+-)8 mil.
Eller mid range term for 2.5 mil.
Briere will be dangled but noone will bite.
Bergevin will fine tune what hes got until Plekanec and Markov become free agents.
Patience being the keyword.

I expect Callahan to be offered a max contract by the Habs.

Quite possible.

Callahan is the leader the habs thought Gionta could be.

Callahan would give us another good RW.

Though, if he does reach FA doubt we sign anyone of significant importance.
