So a pretty wide open split #23 sees D Toews of the Islanders jump all the way to the 1st round. What a great gem of a find for the Islanders and many expecting great things next season. Quite a a chievement to be taken over guys taken at 4,6, and 10. I can't put him there until a full season. Everyone thinks their own prospects are studs but they usually underperfrom the ridiculous expectations set. I think Ritchie and McCann can easily do 40pts in a full season and Bennett can do 30-35 with really solid two way play. Olofsson could do 40 but I wouldn't say that's a safe bet at all
You should have made a case for him then Johnny, no one agreed with you at that point of this ranking, tho you could be end up right in the end as is only 5 years later. I like Bennet too and thinks he gets too hard a ride cause of his draft position but is a solid player that every team would want
Yeah 12 sounds about right. This is one of those examples where had Bennett been a second rounder doing what he is instead of fourth overall, he'd probably have been voted higher.
This has nothing to do with this actual Rd I just like to state for myself DeAngelo would have creeped into the top ten. He may not have proven enough to some at this point to warrant that ranking but I've very confident he has put his maturity issues behind him and I've always loved his skill set. This year he is my absolute breakout candidate. I think he has the ability to be a true number one defenseman in the league and among the top 5 to 10 offensively. Anyway just saying...
