So Vrana from the Caps moves up a couple a spots as we get towards the middle part of our reDraft. Who will go next? Goaloffson? Goalie? Sanahiem? Tuch?

DeAngelo just finished 4th in defenseman scoring (and third in goals, 4th in even strength scoring) while getting a tiny bit of Norris attention. He’s also over .5 p/pg in his career so far and clearly trending up compared to his first couple seasons. Shesterkin is a tremendous goaltending prospect but goalies rarely get taken in the first half of the first round and he’s proven very little compared to DeAngelo who is, at least, proving to be a premier offensive defenseman (83 points in his last 129 games - 53 point pace, 63 point pace last season). In the same exact number of career games Sanheim has a significantly worse points per game and a similar +/- (far from a tell all, I know) but DeAngelo has rounded his defensive game out more than he’s given credit for from fans of teams that don’t watch him and just remember his early reputation. He’s not a liability defensively by any means. I can see an argument for either of the two defenders but for Shesterkin to be winning this with 12 NHL games under his belt is silly. And that’s coming from a NYR fan.
