Jaden Schwartz - Sean Monahan - Jakub VoracekWe feel this line is fit to be a top line on any team. Every single player on the line has previously proven to be instrumental in their own team's cup winning campaign.
Dainus Zubrus - Carl Soderberg - Nikita KucherovSean Monahan is a high upside C who in his rookie year scored 20 goals with no real wingers around him who can finish. Schwartz and Voracek are both capable scorers. Schwartz is a very fine two-way forward, instrumental in his team's success and Jakub Voracek is arguably the Flyers top winger. We feel this line is adequate tin provide vital secondary scoring.
Erik Haula - Darren Helm - Ryan GarbuttWe love the blend of scoring and two-way play on this line. Zubrus and Soberberg both are very fine defensive players, and Kucherov has a nasty release. Boston fans are in love with Soderberg aot nd thought he'd have scored a lot more if his linemates could have consistently finished all the chances he created for them and Kucherov is the right guy alongside him with his deadly shot.
We feel we have one of the best 3rd line centers manning our 4th line here. Not my words, but Babcock's. Ryan Garbutt has been a solid third/fourth line find for Dallas and is known for his tenacity and ability to chip in offensively, while providing solid defensive play. Erik Haula also brings that element of speed and is a very good penalty killer, who just showed in the playoffs that he can provide offense as well.
Johnny Boychuk - Nathan BeaulieuGreene is a legit top pairing D-man for New Jersey and has been for a while but has gone under the radar which was great as I picked him lower than he should have gone. He's been to the Cup Finals with New Jersey which adds a vital element of experience and his partner Seidenberg is a rock defensively, having won a Cup.
Jon Merrill - Alec MartinezAgain, both the D-men have won a cup, with the latter having scored the cup winning goal for his Los Angeles Kings. I like the two-way element to this line and Boychuk is not only solid in his own end, but a tough customer as well.
Not a complete pairing, but I love Merrill's upside and he's shown that in New Jersey. He has top 4 potential but is young. We're looking to pair him with someone who has a little more experience.
***One of the best goaltenders in the league who has found the right situation in New Jersey. He was a no-brainer where I picked him. No team can go far without above average goalending, and Schneider is not only above-average but borderline elite.
Highlighted are all players that have either reached or won the Stanley Cup Finals. Our focus in putting our team together was to draft as many winners, or guys who've had the experience playing in the highest pedestal as possible. I feel we have a great amount of leaders and strong two-way players and a very good goaltender, all recipes for a successful team.
