BTW.....I vote Maxim Trunev...because at one point he actually was thought of as a decent prospect. Cichy was never aon the radar really.

Because he has absolutely nothing going for him. Trunev at the very least had some standout talent to him. He's been playing in a pro league for a long time, and while he hasn't lit it up, it's still way more than Cichy could ever say.

Regardless, I know little of Adam but he has NHL games under his belt. It's far more than most 7th rounders can say.

He wasn't a bad pick, just didn't develop...

He put up 76 points in 56 games in the USHL his draft year. The USHL is a very tight checking league.

Define valuable? Trunev had 7 points in 23 games last season with what is considered the 2nd best league next to NHL. Cichy had to switch schools since he couldn't get icetime. Finished his final year of college with 8 points in 34 games.

That's not to say Cichy won't live a great life and make a lot of money doing whatever. It's just unlikely he makes any playing hockey.
