The Philadelphia Flyers have released their complete roster for their 2013 Training Camp, according to general manager Paul Holmgren. Camp opens on Thursday, September 12 at the Wells Fargo Center.

The final camp roster includes 63 players – 35 forwards, 22 defensemen and six goaltenders. It includes four players added to the roster on invitations and tryouts over the past two weeks. An updated roster is attached to this release.

The Philadelphia Flyers will host a three-day training camp and Fan Fest at the Wells Fargo Complex on Thursday, Sept. 12 through Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013. Doors will open at 8 a.m. daily. The Flyers will practice on ice each day at the Wells Fargo Center from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., while a variety of fan activities will take place throughout the day at XFINITY Live! The first time I saw a look, it said TBD. It's an NBC day, so 11:30 might be the NBC slot and 2pm would open it for the rest of the league, but the NHL schedule says Rangers/Bruins at 1. Someone didn't connect.

They played morning starts as recently as the early 90s the Saturday prior to the Wives' Carnival. IIRC, the games started at 11:00 a.m.

Also, the time for the road game at Dallas has been changed (new start time is 2:00 p.m. ET):

The Dallas Stars announced today that the start times for two games have been changed from their originally scheduled times.

The Stars’ contest on Saturday, Dec. 7 against the Philadelphia Flyers will now start at 1:00 pm CT (originally 7:00 pm CT). Additionally, the club’s matchup on Thursday, Jan. 23 against the Toronto Maple Leafs will now begin at 7:00 pm CT (originally 7:30 pm CT).

With a full season on the horizon, the Flyers will resume a tradition with the Washington Capitals before Training Camp even begins.

The Flyers-Caps will face off for the sixth time in a 'Rookie Game' on Monday, Sept. 9 at 3 p.m. ET.

The game typically marks the end of Flyers Rookie Camp, leading into the main NHL team's Training Camp.

Washington will play host to this year's game at their practice facility, the Kettler Capitals Iceplex, but Flyers fans can watch the game via LIVE webcast at PhiladelphiaFlyers.com (more details to follow…)

The good news for Flyers fans is that the rookie squad owns an overall 3-2-0 record in the game over the last six years, taking the last meeting by a 3-2 score two years ago in front of 10,000 Flyers fans at the Wells Fargo Center.

What fans can expect this year is a strong likelihood that 2013 first round draft pick, Sam Morin, will see his first action as Flyers property, while the team's 2nd round draft pick from 2012, goaltender Anthony Stolarz, could see time between the pipes.

On the bench for the Flyers will be Terry Murray, the club's head coach of their AHL affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms, joined by his assistant coach, former Flyer Riley Cote.

The final roster won't be finalized until Flyers rookie camp, which starts in early September, while dates and details for camp will be announced at a later time. But one thing you can count on is competition.

The Philadelphia Flyers today announced their schedule of locations for their 2013 Training Camp.

Camp will open with on-ice sessions at the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday, September 12 through Saturday, September 14. These sessions will be free and open to the public.

The Flyers will then play preseason games on three consecutive days from September 15-17. The schedule includes home games at the Wells Fargo Center vs. Washington on Monday, September 16 and vs. the New York Rangers on Tuesday, September 17.

Training camp will shift to Lake Placid, NY on Thursday, September 19 and remain there until Sunday, September 22, when the team will return to Philadelphia. The remaining training camp practice sessions will take place at The Virtua Center Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, NJ and will be free and open to the public.

So basically the home preseason games will be on TV but the away ones won't be aired?

As of now, the only road game with a scheduled TV broadcast is September 16 at Toronto.
