Prospect Info: 2014 Annual Ranking Poll #2 (reboot)

From the last poll:Gibson is #1 by acclamation. Karlsson won the first poll (for the #2 slot), but because Rakell and Vatanen were inadvertently left out, we are re-doing that poll. I apologize for screwing that up.

Each poll be open for 48 hours. In the event of a tie, a 24-hour runoff will be held. The winner will get the open spot; the loser will go back into the pool, not get the next-lowest rank. The poll will go up to #25. Players are in the poll on the basis of HF's prospect criteria. Essentially, skaters with less than 65 games before the season of their 24th birthday, or goalies with less than 45 games before the season of their 24th birthday, are considered prospects. There are some nuances with respect to older-signed players, but I believe that applies only to Farragher, who can remain a prospect for a bit yet.

Vote on players using whatever criteria you like. This isn't the readiness poll or the talent poll or the most-likely-to-be-best poll per se, it's just a survey of who we as Duck fans like.

Karlsson for me. I would rank Karlsson ahead of Gibson even, because, well, goalies.

Still Ritchie, Vatanen would have been my #2, but looks like he might take this poll.

I hate to be the guy to critique the poll after it's been corrected, but should we leave Andersen off? I know by HF standards he's still a prospect, but considering he'll definitely be in the NHL and is 24 years old, I feel like we could leave him off. I don't think I'm voting for him until spot #8 or #9 at least, and that's probably too low. Just my 2 cents, I'm fine either way though.

Still Karlsson. That upside...

Vatanen is going to be good but I don't ever see him being a top pairing guy.

Flea is an interesting pick.

Always had a soft spot for that ugly *******.

Editing my way through all the mistakes I made formatting and writing this thing - that's what a morphine fog will do to you. If anyone has any suggestions on how to make the thing more readable or presentable, please let me know.

Hold off on the Schedule II narcotics until bed time. I never found them to be of any value during the day. YMMV.

I really can't believe Vatanen is gonna win this. Karlsson Theodore and Ritchie all have much higher potential then Vatanen.

Really interested to see where Manson ends up. He goes from #25 in 2012 to Not Ranked in 2013. He'll probably end up ~#10-13 which is a huge jump. Hard work is really paying off for him.

I'm with you on this.

Ditto. Sami is the more proven talent, but unless he just explodes as a player, his upside seems below the likes of Theodore, Karlsson, and Ritchie. At least to me.

I voted Karlsson. I think he's going to be a forward version of Lindholm this season.

He's bounced around the bottom of the rankings since he was drafted, from 20th to NR to 25th and NR again. Once upon a time he couldn't even beat out Jake Newton.

I went with Ritchie, I know his pedigree but haven't seen enough of Karlson to outvote him.

Where do you guys get your info? Youtube highlights of his league games?

He's been my favorite Ducks prospect for a while now and I can totally see this. I see Washington's Backstrom written all over him.

Put Silfverberg and Cogs with Kesler and let Karlsson be a playmaker on the 3rd line. He could explode.
