Please talk about Rangers goaltenders here. Please note our updated policy on player discussion.

In order to stop the creation of endless threads and pages of irrelevant discussion, we will be adjusting our player discussion policy to coincide with the beginning of the 2014-15 regular season. Threads will be created for very general discussion by position (forwards, defense, goaltending, coaching), but separate threads will be kept for trade/roster speculation, injury discussion (properly tagged), and milestone achievements. Player discussion as a whole will be more strictly moderated than it has been in the past in order to avoid nuisance topics or threads for each individual member of the team, but all previous discussions will still be searchable.

Of course, any and all additional feedback is welcome in PM or email form.

Thanks.

Oh man, great article. What a goalie. Needless to say, him lifting the cup in MSG would be absolutely incredible.

Also, more generally, I like this forwards, d-men, goalie, coaching thread idea a lot. Condensing everything into one thread was a little too much.

Hard to believe this will be hanks 10 year

Be a real shame if he never wins that Cup. Got to happen in the next 2 years IMO

He has 3-4 years left of true prime play, and could still easily win for 3 years after that. We're good for a while.

The window is definitely closing though.

Definitely think he will have a slightly larger window than that. But yes, the next two years look like his best shot at it.

I think he's got another 5 years until he starts slowing down, assuming no major injuries. Either way, we need to do some youth for age trades to see if we can win the Stanley Cup.

Hank looks a lot more like Hank at least based preseason. Cam looked a lot more like a backup goalie than he did last season.

Way less. AV said Talbot will get 25 games.

That may be what he said.

That may even be what he hopes for.

I don't see Hank playing in less than 60-65 games.

I think it would be foolish to play him less than that.

Smart breaks here and there would allow for additional rest days keeping Hank fresh and not run down.

I wouldn't run him more than 65 games, but absolutely no less than 60.

henke played 63 reg season games last year and cambot played 21. with goalies getting pulled a 60-25 swap is reasonable.

Lundqvist can do 65 this year. No Olympics. I wouldnt play him more than 62 though. Talbot is more than capable of starting 20 games.

Last year Lundqvist was a work horse with the NHL season, playoffs, and Swedens Olympic run.

Lundqvist played like a dog tonight. He gave up 2 goals. I expected a shutout:sarcasm:

I play Hank against the Isles.

He's always been excellent after a bad game.

I missed the 3rd period yesterday. I see Cam stopped 12 shots. How did he look doing it? He was really shaky against CBJ. I think Hank rebounds against the Isles. He has too much pride to put in another poor performance.
