Any insight on the Semin snub? It has to be political, right?

It's not, it just that if he's not in the top-6 there's no need to have him.

The question is, who's the last guy in the top-6? Tarasenko?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I get the impression that they put more KHL players on the team than they should because they want to show that the KHL is competitive (in terms of quality of play) with the NHL.

It seems a bit weird to have a 60/40 split.

From an outsider perspective, a bit surprising to find that Semin is left out. Scary offense anyway in this squad... :amazed:

Wow, no Semin? I hope Team Russia gets absolutely destroyed because of that. Completely disrespectful.

Semin is one of the best two-way wingers in the world. It makes no sense to hold him off the roster for defensive purposes.

This.

If they wanted to show something, they would pick KHL best scorers Mozyakin and Zaripov..
