Russian teams mostly don´t fare too well on the Spengler Cup... Always fun to watch though, probably taking it too easy and wanting to make spectacular plays!

I´m looking forward to see them live. Every year it´s fun to be at the tournament, despite the fact that I truly hate the HC Davos

Played there once already back in 93 or 96.
Also I think they wanted to bring something special for the tournament and us europeans don´t see too much of NA hockey (if not for those who stay up all night to watch some games on mostly mediocre quality streams)
Plus since it´s an olympic year it´s hard finding competitive teams who have the time to come to Davos for one week. The schedule is pretty packed everywhere. And most leagues don´t stop during the last week of the year since everyone is on vacation and these games normally draw large masses of spectators.
