Gauthier to Toronto would be great. If Buchnevich is still available late in the first round I'd be pretty upset if the Leafs passed on him.

I think Buchnevich falls to the mid to late 2nd. He is signed in Russia for 2 more years.

I wish I had a better book on Wennberg. I have seen some mocks having him go to the Islanders. Wonder what other fans think of that, good value?

Wennberg would be a very good pick at #15. He can play left wing or centre. Great speed, hands and playmaking skills. Very solid defensively. Not the best shot in the world though. Probably wont be a first liner but a good top 6 centre/winger that will be important to any team.

Zykov or Pulock can also be good picks for the Islanders.

Where's the ANY key?

25. Montreal Canadiens - Ryan Hartman
34. Montreal Canadiens - Ian McCoshen

I'm OK with that as a habs fan. McCoshen at #34 would be sweet...would be tempted to take him at #25 (like I have a say in anything).

Pretty disasterous first 24 for Montreal. Think in this scenario I'd roll with the Best D Available, and for me that's Madison Bowey. I'd then take high upside forward gambles at 34 and 36, and in this scenario I'd gamble on Petan and one of Bailey/Buchnevich/Dickinson/McCarron.

Pretty solid for Columbus. No issues wtih Meuller at 27 but might opt for Bowey or Compher. Either way, solid. Nice job from CBJ perspective in my opinion.

I think walking out of this draft with Hartman, McCoshen and De La Rose would be pretty sweet.

Bowey, Petan and Bailey would be good too though. Not interrested in McCarron or Buchnevich that high.

My scenario is more of a safe bet. A solid top 4 two-way defender and 2 gritty top 9 forwards with top 6 upside and love to hit and be in your face.

Yours is more boom/bust but can be a good reward.

If buffalo takes Ristolainen I find it hard to believe they would take another RHD, I would rather have Zykov,Gauthier,Lazar and Burakowsky and maybe even Erne if that were the scenario.Solid Mock as always!

Thanks for the kind words.

But i have Buffalo taking Nichushkin and then Pulock, not Ristolainen.

don't sell Jacob de la Rose short guys! he's got good size and speed and plays a well rounded game. also has a good offensive potential. the phrase "potential power forward" comes to mind.

Good first rounder, but I prefer Lodge and Buchnevich over Nastasiuk and Thompson, and Duclair over Sorenson. I'd be pretty bummed if Lehkonen, Dano, and Dauphin went right ahead of 49 and 50.

I dunno man, I think the Yotes need Max Domi. He is like a Kane who passes and plays physical, he really just needs to work on his defense which he can definately learn from Doan and a good majority of the organization.

i think Shinkaruk would be a pretty good pick but you cant go wrong with either of them.

I would be beyond disappointed if that were Carolina's first 2 rounds. In both picks they're leaving at least 4 better players on the board.

Im sure they will consider Monahan, Lindholm or Nichushkin before Nurse but i think Nurse will be the choice.

Theodore is BPA at that spot.
