Thats a great haul for the Jackets. I don't mind Morrissey with the last pick we have in the first. Just not before then. Getting Lehkonen in the second I think could be a great steal.

Good Mock

I personally don't see Petan in the first round, but that just one small critique.

As for the Oilers this is a great draft scenario, if the big three centres are gone Nurse seems like a good fit although I believe we would trade down or trade out of the first all together.

I like what de la Rose brings to the table, good mix of physicality, and skill as well as being a hard worker, I feel as though the Oilers may lean towards Bailey in that spot.

Jarry is perfect with our other pick in round 2.

Really like it from a Flames perspective.

Monahan, Theodore, and Petan would be a hell of a haul.

Terrible for the Sharks, minus the Dauphin pick, which I really like. Sharks won't take Mueller, they'll take Horvat, Burakovsky, or Erne. At 50 they'll take any of the three forwards you have following 51, Buchnevich, Poirier, or Dano. And they don't need a goalie, not at all.

Otherwise, looks pretty good. Just not for the Sharks. Getting Burakovsky, Dauphin, Buchnevich, and some other forward would do a ton for the Sharks' pool.

I think Mueller is a great pick. He plays a lot like Ryan Murray(not as well obviously). He does everything well and I think the Sharks need some sure bets. Bigras and Poirier are also great picks. Bigras dropped a lot in my mock for some reason. Maybe Duclair instead of Martin?

Switch Heatherington with Carrier and it's a win for us.

Also since we're actually picking 26th, we can go ahead and take Erne.

I'd be okay with any of Wennberg/Domi/Lazar(leaning towards Curtis though) in the first, and to be able to snag Hurley would be rad. Would hope Bjorkstrand would fall to Phoenix in the 3rd, but maybe we could throw together some stuff to move up and grab him.

All in all this gets a thumbs up on a Coyotes front :handclap:

San Jose is getting two steals with Bigras and Dauphin at 49 and 50. Both seem a bit low.
Also I feel since Pavelec is a bottom 5 starter in the league and Winnipeg has 3 second rounders, they should use one of them for a goalie. Martin at 59 would seem perfect.

Otherwise it is really a good list

Switched it. San Jose didnt want Martin and Jets need him.

Sharks don't need a bottom-4 defenseman sure bet. They have Braun, Demers, Irwin, Tennyson all good bottom-4 defensemen at the NHL level, and guys like Doherty, Petrecki, Abeltshauser, Demelo, Acolatse, etc. playing in the AHL/CHL that project to be solid bottom-4 defensemen. If the Sharks take a defensemen, it will be a risky player with top-2 upside. Otherwise, they will take best forward available. If you insist on having the Sharks take a defenseman, it'll be Theodore, Morrissey, or Bowey, guys with big upside.

The Sharks have plenty of low-upside safe players in their system. What they lack is blue-chippers outside of Hertl. That's why a guy with big upside like Burakovsky, Erne, Klimchuk, Petan are the types we'll go after. If you want a safe pick, Horvat is a prototypical Sharks pick, but at a position the Sharks could actually use.

Poirier, Dauphin, and Duclair or Sorenson would be a perfect 2nd round for us. I do like Bigras, but I just don't think the Sharks would take him. I'm surprised you don't have Duclair in your top-61. Sharks would definitely take him at 60, he'd be the idea pick for us.

Fair enough, you know your teams pool better than a Habs fan.

As for Duclair, I see him play. I would touch him until the 3rd round. One of the most inconsistent players I have seen in a long time. Less than a ppg in the Q on a strong team, got benched at one point...

Yeah, for sure nothing personal. Sorry I came off a little harsh, but this is a key draft for us and I don't want to **** it up. I want 4 forwards in the top-60 this year unless a defenseman like Josh Morrissey falls to us in the second.

Duclair is a classic boom-bust. Has the electric skating, hands and creativity to be a scoring line player in the NHL. But he needs to pull together other parts of his game. He's definitely inconsistent though, I think he's risen and fallen two fill times this year. Regardless, he represents a skillset sorely lacking in the Sharks' pool.

Nichushkin at 8 is a win, however at 16 buffalo would probably want hartman mantha or theodore just imo, also at 38 I think we should take Bailey if he is there.

I'm alright with CBJ taking Morrissey at that spot even if i think they should take Santini or one of the other 2nd round Dmen, but whatever.

The only thing that concerns me is FLA taking a dman at 31...would rather see them take a RW or LW. They have tons upon tons of depth on d but basically no depth on the wing. Klimchuk, Nastasiuk, etc

Yeah no problem no offense taken:laugh: Im still not sure about Duclair, I think he will be a Kabanov type player that will drop quite a bit.

Dano at 52 for the Leafs and that's a great draft for us.

There is zero chance Horvat falls to the Leafs...I'd go out and buy my Leafs Horvat jersey the day of the draft if he does though :D

I like Burakowski, but I would like Erne more if he is still available. Just a personal preference and I would still love to get Burakowski. Overall I think this is really well done, don't see anyone really out of place.

I don't think the Habs take Erne based on his question marks, but he'd be a solid pick there.

No issues with Compher and McCarron.

Diaby in the 2nd round is too early, he's a late 3rd rounder at this point.

I agree...I think that with the 25th,34th and 36th pick, the Canadiens will draft a defensemen and two forwards with size. I cant really predict the exact order but considering the mocks i read i think we have a good chance for a defensemen like Morin/McCoshen/Hagg/Bowey and two forwards from Mantha/Rychel/Erne/Burakowski/JT Compher/ McCarron/Hartmann/Nastasiuk...
