Boychuk is a solid 2nd pairing guy and he's signed to a reasonable cap hit. $3.4 for another 2 seasons. Even if he's banged up currently. Why would a team like Calgary or Edmonton have any interest in a pending UFA bottom pair defenseman in Ference who has been sub par this year?

Out of Boychuk, Krug, Ference, Bart, Krug and Boychuk are probably your likely candidates to go IMO.
