The Ironmen 2nd and 3rd lines and 2nd and 3rd pairings have done much better against the best of their era than the Pirates' have.

Links to each drafted pick bio by Seattle (which was profiled in the draft thread) will be provided before too long.

Why is that? Maxwell probably had the worst quality of competition of anyone in the series.

Our third lines are made up of 5 post expansion NHLers, how did yours fare much better?

Lefebvre and Doak played on very good teams, but Lefebvre had a bigger role. Lefebvre was also called one of the best defensive defenseman in the league.

Seems like comparing 4th lines to 3rd lines might make the most sense here. Pittsburgh's real role player line is its fourth, and Seattle's is its third. Pittsburgh's third and Seattle's fourth seem a bit more "bpa", with intangibles a concern, but a secondary one.

If we go by that, the big advantage I see is the excellent two-way Stoll over the scrub Lapointe.
