That is a lot of faith in the Czech Republic who might have the 6th most talented lineup at the tournament. I would be surprised if they made it out of the group, much less got a medal out of this year's WJC.

It's tough to see Russia beating Sweden and then loosing to Czech Rep. Are you sure about that?

Denmark the powerhouse beating Finland too.. hmmmn

Jamaica should take this tournament, so they can get their all-stars ready for 2014.

That's some bold predictions, Czech's beating the US in the RR and then Russia in the semis. Sweden losing to the swiss who lose to the slovaks who lose to the swedes but Sweden comes out on the short end of the stick in GD and go's to the relegation side. Finland losing to everybody? including Denmark? Wow

based on those predictions you'd have

1. USA
2. Canada
3. Finland

and

1. Sweden
2. Russia
3. Switzerland

so QF would be

Russia v. Finland
Switzerland v. Canada

SF would be

Sweden v. Canada/Switzerland
USA v. Russia/Finland

and then gold/bronze medal games

Last year everyone here and all mighty The Hockey News picked Switzerland over Finland and were sure Finland was heading to relegation round. Needless to say after that it was quite fun to watch Finland crush Switzerland 4-0 (shots 38-15) and make Conz look like a swiss cheese.

Only prediction I will make is that if Finland and Sweden meet in the bronze medal game, Finland takes it. Finns are the kings of bronze medal(aka meaningless) games and I have never seen Sweden play motivated for that medal.

??? Even if people did have Switzerland beating Finland, Finland would still have to lose to Slovakia to go to the relegation round(barring the Slovakia beating the Swiss, swiss beating finland, finland beating slovakia, all finish 2-2 and finland losing on Goals F/A possibility), people were really predicting that?

the Swiss did beat the Fins eventually though, in the 5th/6th place playoff:P

LOL.

Every year I would wait for THN to bring out their World Junior Edition and EVERY year I would be disappointed. 7 pages of fluff.

Who did THN predict would win this year?

Well I think we are good enough for a medal which one has yet to be played out but I think save for Canada there could be some surprises.
