It just makes me sad and furious to read that the girl was driving with an alcohol level three times higher than allowed (1,56 instead of 0,5). DUI is just an act of complete disrespect for the lives and health of others and yourself. Terrible...just terrible.

Another point..

It's a joke that you are allowed to drive with 0.4 per mille in your system. In Sweden the legal limit is 0.2, which means that you're only allowed to have 0.1 per mille, anything over that and you're driving illegally.

People who drink and drive should seriously have their licenses suspended for a decade and then be forced to visit the morgue every time someone dies from a drunk driver.

Poor thing. My thoughts are with his friends and family. Sitting by the bedside of a young person injured by a drunk driver is a difficult thing to do.

Update on Kevin Lötscher: His state of health is stable according to information released by his club SC Bern on Sunday. He remains in artificial coma and reacts positive to the medical measures. Lötscher was struck at the roadside by a car, driven by an intoxicated driver in the night from Friday to Saturday.

They knew each other, they were out together, he just jumped out off her car moments before (with some other guys) because of her drunk and wild driving. afterwards she circled a round-about with too much speed, lost the control, slightly hit a first guy, and eventually hit Loetscher head-on.

They interview, the guy that got slightly hit, so it's probably true.

what a tragedy!

Kevin is still in coma, but they'll probably wake him up this weekend. Afterwards it should be clear how severe the injuries are.

Kevin is now awake and breathes without the help of a machine. No further information on his injuries though.
