I’d have Kuraly much higher - he’s an ideal 4th line center for today’s style. Big bodied spark plug that plays a speedy North-South game, relentless forechecking and can PK. He’s also not terrible offensively.

Tucker Poolman was first eligible in 2011 but was passed over. If I were drafting out of this pool of players I'd take him in the 40 - 50 range as I feel he has potential to be a solid NHLer very soon.

Couturier is def gonna be top 5 if he can have a repeat season. Elite defensively and his offensive game has reached PPG levels, guys a beast.
I’d take him 4th after Kucherov, JG, and Scheif

Edmundson should be in the lower twenties/late teens.

I'd have Lowry in the mid 20's or even higher. Over the last two season he has become one of the best shut down C's in the league. As he is already proving in this years PO's having a great shut down C on your 4th line like Lowry on your teams opens up so many options for a coach when it comes to matchups against their opponents.

As a Flames fan, I'm getting weird vibes seeing Scheifele below Gaudreau, which I didn't expect. I think I might actually pick Scheifele going forward due to his attitude towards learning and improving at the game. I love Gaudreau but I think Scheifele has slightly higher overall team impact.

In the last 100ish games...dating back to last year in February, Sean Couturier is 3rd in the league in even strength points.

Only McDavid and Kucherov have more.

McDavid 101 games....103 ES points(crazy btw)
Kucherov 100 games...80 ES points
Couturier 103 games...79 ES points
Panarin 101 games...78 ES points
Gaudreau 99 games...74 ES points

I am not sure people realize how good he has been. It's only been PP points that gave kept him lower. Last year he only had 2 PP points on our awful 2nd unit. He had 14 this year once being moved to the top unit in November.

Plus Scheifele is a RHS C, 2nd most important position behind RHS RD. LHS LW is the least important position in hockey.
