I don't really see Colorado selecting Sean Couturier, he doesn't really fit in their up-tempo style of hockey. Like other posters have mentioned, I would expect them to take RNH or Landeskog (likely in that order) if Larsson isn't available.

not bad but this morning Colorado is 3 points behind Ottawa, so the Avs will go for RNH

Why would you do a draft today, but have the order the way you want it? Ottawa is a point behind Florida, and Colorado is four behind, with a game in hand. Florida certainly has a shot at the #2 pick. See, thats my opinion, but I have no clue what will happen by the end of the season.

1. Edmonton - Larsson
2. Colorado - Landeskog
3. Ottawa - Nugent-Hopkins
4. Florida - Couturier
5. NYI - Strome

What do you think will Larssons upside be? I have seen him play 15+ games this year and he has only impressed me twice. I know everyone is hyped about him, but somehow I see him as a next Öhlund. Think he will the next Öhlund, next Lidström or something in between?

Avs could opt to take StL 1st rounder this year, a likely top 10 pick and with that, go for an elite forward in Landeskog 2nd overall (or RNH if Edmonton doesn't take him) and then pick up Duncan Siemans with the StL pick. DS would be a good pick up to compliment Elliott.

With them adding Erik Johnson, I can't see them going D with the 2nd overall.

I am pretty sure the St.Louis pick they got, was top-10 protected. Meaning if it is a top-10 this year, it will be differed until next year.

I think Murphy is a bit high there, especially to ATL (Bogo, Buff, Enstrom...). I see him more in the 8-12 range.

I also think Biggs will go higher than 10th. Especially, Devils who need help on RW. Rolston isnt getting any younger, leaving them with Clarkson as top RW. No way Biggs gets passed Devils. NO WAY!
