1. Edmonton – Adam Larsson
He's the rock Edmonton needs if he becomes what I see in him.
2. Colorado – RNH
Caught off guard by Edmonton's pick. Stastny-Duchene-RNH-OReilly is a nice problem.
3. Florida – Gabriel Landeskog
Florida builds its future offense around heart and soul guy who does it all.
4. New Jersey – Jonathan Huberdeau
Has outclassed Couturier IMO.
5. NY Islanders – Sean Couturier
Tavares-Couturier
6. Ottawa - Mika Zibanejad
Swedish wiz and physical center. Exactly what Ottawa needs.
7. Winnipeg - Ryan Strome
Winnipeg is the team that got screwed the most by NJ winning the lottery, Strome is good but I really like the top6 this year. IMO of course.
8. Columbus - Ryan Murphy
Special puck moving dman that BJs have needed forever.
9. Boston - Dougie Hamilton
Bruins need dmen and the 6'4 pain in the ass is the best player left.
10. Minnesota - Sven Bartschi
Bartschi is rising from everybody having seen the same Portland playoff games.
11. Colorado – Duncan Siemens
This kind of goes along with the RNH pick, north american defensive dman.
12. Carolina - Mark Scheifele
Best OHL/WHL forward avaible. I think the Skinner pick last year will help the Carolina scouting staff get the recognition they deserve, very good group.
13. Calgary – Joel Armia
Calgary type player.
14. Dallas – Nathan Beaulieu
Dallas builds slow and steady. Beaulieu has been consistent all year, nice future top4 pairing guy.
15. NY Rangers – Alexander Khoklachev
Not afraid of the russian factor the Rangers go for the homerun.
16. Buffalo – Zack Phillips
Reminds me the good Travis Zajac (I like Zajac), improving all year, liked his play for St John.
17. Montreal – JT Miller
American, safe, two say, that's a Montreal pick.
18. Chicago – Oscar Klefbom
That guy is a steal out of the top20.
19. Edmonton – Jamie Oleksiak
Edmonton goes for dmen homerun picks all the way
20. Phoenix – Mark McNeil
Not a favorite of mine but skill and size at 20 is nice.
21. Ottawa – Nicklas Jensen
Ottawa kind of player, I could easily have put him earlier though.
22. Anaheim – Jonas Brodin
Keep reading good things about this guy. Anaheim doesn't draft many euros but swedish guys are more and more dismissing that factor.
23. Pittsburgh – Matt Puempel
23 is still a good pick in this draft. If all the guys who could lit up with Crosby Malkin pan out the pens will keep being a juggernaut for a long time.
24. Detroit – Dmitrij Jaskin
This guy has Detroit gem written all over him.
25. Toronto – Boone Jenner
Burke kind of guy.
26. Washington – Vladislav Namestnikov
heeh I know russian to Washington but I watched my fair share of Knights game this year and liked this guy.
27. Tampa Bay – Rocco Grimaldi
St Louis 2.0
28. San Jose – David Musil
Good steady dman project
29. Toronto – Tyler Biggs
Another high reward Burke kind of guy.
30. Vancouver – Joe Morrow
Keep seeing this guy ranked high everywhere, don't know much about him.
He's the rock Edmonton needs if he becomes what I see in him.
