None. Ovechkin 09-10. But answering this, it is easily 08. And lol at Crosby's 11. Only what "ifs"

Overall all 3 are close but the eye test + his overall dominance over his peers that season definitely push it toward Malkin's 2011-2012 season.

Just that out of this world goal he scored against Tampa basically stickhandling almost the whole opposite team shatters any highlight goal or play made by Sid or Ovie in their seasons mentionned in this poll.
It was Lemieux/Jagr's level.

Ovechkin. That goal total was ridiculous, won the Ross, was hitting everything, and had amazing puck possession numbers.

Crosby could have been close, but too may what-if's.

If Ovechkin got injured this season on February 4th, and finished the season with 40 goals in 53 games, it would be ludicrous to just assume that if he plays a full season he scores 62 goals.

If Crosby got injured in 2016/2017 at the end of December, he would have had 26 goals, 42 points, in 31 gp. That would be 82 game projected 69 goals and 111 points. He ended up finishing that season with 44 goals (48 goal pace), 89 points (97 point pace), and ended up having McDavid beat him in points and points/gp.

Extrapolating anything lower than like 80% of a season is just asking for trouble, because Hockey is way too variable to predict.

True even this year. Draisaitl was at 48P in 27 games. That paces for like 145 points.... obviously he came back to earth and looked like he would be closer to 124 which is still good. But it makes it difficult to claim that 30 game stretches of being hotter than the sun, will equal all-time great seasons that were actually earned in 75-82 games

TIL the bold. You're like the real life Dora the explorer, discovering new and amazing things. Wonder when the NHL will begin determining W/L based on total in-game points.
Both Crosby and Malkin have scored more points in a regular season and playoffs than ovechkin ever has. And this is with injuries

It was Lemieux/Jagr's level.

How a player was relative to 2nd best that year certainly is a way to distinguish.

Ovi's 2007-2008 was a monster . . . and he only finished with 6 more points than Malkin. Plus, Ovechkin was playing about 2 minutes more a game, so Malkin's points per 60 was actually about 0.13 points higher.

Crosby's 2010-2011 season WOULD be the clear cut choice IF you could extrapolate half a season over a season, but I'm not a fan of doing that with Ovechkin's goal scoring in 2012-2013, so I can't suddenly endorse doing it with Crosby.

Makin in 2011-2012 had 3 fewer points and 15 fewer goals than Ovechkin in 2007-2008, BUT he had more points per game and as you noted there was a much more significant gap between him and Stamkos in that season than Ovechkin and him in 2007-2008.

Honestly, I could buy any answer, but I voted like you for reasons you gave.
