With just over a third of the season completed the Hawks have something to look forward to for the first time at the mid-season break. While the team is competing for a playoff spot for the first time in what seems like decades a few bright spots have emerged.

3 players have displayed potential to be either voted in by the fans (G.M's in our case) or at least added by the coaches.

Joe Pavelski - Leading the team in points at almost a point per game. One of the leading shot takers (2nd). in the top 15 in PTS for RW, and averaging over 24 minutes a game

Duncan Keith - second in scoring amongst defensemen (18), 10th in shots blocked (52) , 6th in minutes per game (28.20) , 10th in take aways with 33 and 2 GW goals

Mike Green - first in points amongst defensemen (22), first in goals by defensemen (7), 23.45 minutes per game, 7 PPG and 13 PPP, 2 GW goals

It's not bad enough that we've had to face Pronger and Chara in the Central all these years, now that they're finally starting to red-shift towards retirement, you have Green and Keith ready to take their place as the league's top D pairing? Fer Chrissakes, can't catch a break in this bloody Divison. :help:
