Curious on the "most underrated player" nominee - Nick Baptsite. As a Sudbury fan, not sure how we is underrated this coming year when he was placed on the third team all star team last season, was invited to the WJC camp this summer?

Seems like he is already rated well!!!

I'm stretching a bit there. I just feel like Baptiste generally doesn't get a lot of love, or not as nearly as much as he deserves. I expect him to be top five in scoring this season.

Kitchener Rangers to pick first? Wow that is quite unlikely I am not why so many people think that, they picked second this year and are getting all of their players back minus 2 of them. They have a pretty good core I place middle of the pack this year.

Oddly enough I do think they will be a good team this season, because of their depth. I just think those guys are over-rated players, especially Perlini.

Their defense was pretty bad last season and coming into this season it doesn't look much better. The addition of Masin was nice but they lose Armstrong and Seymour. They have no OHL level goal tending right now. They're going to have to use picks or young players to find an actual goalie and some help on defense.

I'm not saying they're going to be a bad team. Definitely a playoff team right now, maybe somewhere around the 4-5 matchup. But I see a lot of people predict them at the top of the standings, so they are over rated to me.

I'm not a Petes hater by any means but essentially agree with Erieotternews. Their forward group looks great but their D and masked men are ??? I also think there's a decent chance Ritchie is not back. 50/50 IMHO as he's the most physically ready forward in the last draft and as he's had 3 yrs in the O the ducks might figure he'll learn more as a bottom 6 in the NHL. If that happens it kills the Petes this year a bit like losing Monaghan killed our playoff chances last year
